The Canadian Grand Prix

It has been part of the Formula One World Championship since 1967 and it is yet upon us once again. It is however unfortunate that this Grand Prix is on at the same time as the scheduled Euro Championships 2012 – but this will not stop those F1 fanatics skipping the footie and opting for the Formula 1. In 2005, the Canadian Grand Prix was the most watched Formula One GP in the world. The race was also the third most watched sporting event worldwide, behind the first place Super Bowl XXXIX and the UEFA Champions League Final. The Canadian Grand Prix was not included in the 2009 Formula 1 calendar. On 27 November 2009 it was reported the race could return in 2010 and the 2010 race then took place on June 13.

Here at  StudentsAlike the general feeling towards the grand prix is that McLaren are due a win and that is who we are backing. A one-two with Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button is what we are going to be backing and hoping for, however there has been several winners this year so far and we could soon be eating out own words.
